How is the cost of a long-distance move worked out?
Price follows the size of the shipment and the distance it travels, then the services you add to it — packing, storage, or items that need special handling. Two homes with the same number of rooms can price differently once access, stairs and carry distance are taken into account, which is why the estimate is built from your particular move rather than a rate card.
Why might my quote change after it is given?
A quote is built from what is on the inventory. It moves if the inventory moves — items added or removed, a change of date, or access at either end that turns out to be different from what was described. Anything that changes the figure is explained before the work goes ahead.
What affects the price most?
Distance, the volume being moved, the time of year, and how much packing you want done. Access matters more than people expect: a long carry to the truck, stairs without a lift, or a street a full-size truck cannot reach all add time, and time is what a move is priced on.
When is the cheapest time to move?
Late autumn through winter is quieter than spring and summer, and mid-month is quieter than the start or end of it. If your dates can flex by a week you usually have more choice of crew and a better price.

Is Nationwide Moving licensed and insured?
Yes. Nationwide Moving operates under USDOT 971993 and MC 411763, and is fully licensed and insured for interstate moves. Those numbers are public and can be checked on the FMCSA register.
What services do you offer?
Residential and commercial moving, packing, storage, piano and specialty items, last-minute moves, and state-to-state relocation across the United States. If a move needs more than one of those, it is handled as one job rather than several.
Can you handle a last-minute move?
Often, yes — it depends on crew availability for your dates. Call rather than use the form if the move is soon, so the dates can be checked while you are on the phone.
What about a piano, or something fragile and valuable?
Those are handled as specialty items with the right equipment and crew rather than as ordinary furniture. Mention them when you ask for the quote so the right people and materials are scheduled.
